This is a story of a normal human being. This is a story of a person who is constantly trying to discover and develop his potentialities. This is a story of a change agent. This is a story of a talent. This is a story of an AIESECer. THIS IS MY STORY!

First eXchange of my term

Today is a very special day for me, because today, first OutGoing eXchange Realization of my term took place by sending our beloved Alvi bhai to India. However, I am the luckiest OutGoing eXchange LCVP of AIESEC Bangladesh’s history. Because, two of my SNs from previous term are already MATCHED with foreign TN! My term is waiting just for their REALIZATION. Alvi bhai is one of those Very Important Persons of my term. He is going to a 3 months life changing AIESEC Management Traineeship at Anthroplace Consultants, Kolkata, India. The interesting thing is that, the TN Manager of this traineeship was Romil Mehta, and once upon a time my SN Shafayet bhai rejected by his TN Taker. He thought that, there is no chance to MATCH with AIESEC in NSU again. However, this unusual thing happened, Alvi bhai MATCHED with his other TN. Alvi bhai is an all-rounder, he has eXPeriences in almost every sector in AIESEC. Thus, he will be one of those rare persons who will complete all the stages of AIESEC XP.

Before going to in-depth, let me first introduce Alvi bhai. He is our first ever self-matched SN and he was our LCVP ICX Corp for the term 2003-04. He is remembered as the Father of InComing eXchange Corporate sector of AIESEC in NSU, since he is our first ICX Corp VP. Alvi bhai is such a kind, friendly and knowledgeable person that only few people of this complex world used to be like that. He is one of my eXcellent mentors, from whom I get to know a lot of thing. I first met with him at our National Strategic Conference 2004 at LGED auditorium, Dhaka. He was one of the coolest Facilitators of that event. He effectively taught me about marketing calls and defined how to convince our stakeholders. Our team crowned as the best FLC (Fictitious Local Committee) of NSC 2004 just because of his advice. He always treated me as his younger brother and always guided me about what to do and what not to do.

About the farewell of Alvi bhai, I am not totally satisfied. Currently, I have only two members and for this reason, it is obvious that the SN servicing will not be good. Then again, we tried to do our best. I developed a package that contains, several Bengali musics, roll calls, jives, a 105 slides PPT(!), and some other presentations to show in India. Yesterday, we also called a farewell party for Alvi bhai at FFC, Gulshan-2, Dhaka. Many people came to that farewell party but one thing I understood that, Friday is not the best day for partying because it is not possible for everyone specially girls to move on Friday. Amzad bhai also came to that party and gave Alvi bhai some AIESEC T-shirts to give those to Indian AIESECers. Today I went to the airport to say good-bye to Alvi bhai. The worst thing happened when the flight delayed for 3 hours!

Finally, I just wanted to say that Alvi bhai is really a helpful brother; I never ever can forget his kind contribution and supports towards me. I wish him all the best in his life. I hope he will be doing well in his traineeship period.
