NPC 2006
NPC 2006 (National Planning Conference 2006) in my words “National Perverts Conference 2006” is a great eXPerience of my life. It was a 3 days conference and it took place at HRDC PROSHIKA Centre, Koitta, Manikganj. The theme of this conference was “Cholo Shobai” which means “Let’s go altogether”. Other then Rony and Tanya all the current and elect MC member were Facilitators. Rony was the OCP and other OC members are Jahid, Nahid, Rabi, and Sach. And The Chair of the conference was Shourav bhai. I got so many things from this conference. That’s why 6-8 April 2006 are really some wonderful moments of my life. I really enjoyed every parts of this conference. Unlike other AIESEC Bangladesh conferences this conference was not really LC focused conference, it’s actually department focused conference, and I really liked it. It helps us to make friends from other LCs. That’s why, I never felt alone though 3 of my team mates were absent at that conference. Sessions are truly interesting BUT foods are really really bad. I think that’s the only failure of this conference. Let’s see what happened at this wonderful conference.
My room number was 408 and my other room mates were Ahmad (VPOGX AIESEC in AIUB) and Jitu (VPOGX AIESEC in IUB). Since, we three are really creative! We hanged two posters at our door. These stated “Dubai jabii? Contact us” and “Laagai Dour Dey”. Following us every department hang posters at their door, and it was really amazing to see people following our idea. Every department showed their roll call at the very beginning of the first day. Our roll call was truly unique. It was:
Oi dekha jai 408,
oi aamader gaa.
Oi khaneytey bash korey
OGX VP raa.
O OGX tui khash ki?
SN chara pash ki?
Ekta jodi pai,
omni dhoira Dubai pathai.
In my points of view OGX was the best department of this conference. We tried to rock each and every where of this conference. Perhaps for this reason ghosts became jealous of us! I’m now going to tell you the ghost story. There is a banyan tree at that area, my friend Ahmad told me at the first night of the conference that, it seems weird to him. There is something in the banyan tree. I just avoided Ahmad’s comments and was watching a Hindi movie called “Rang De Basanti”. Ahmad is a very brave man and he started to search around for his curiosity. Unfortunately, he didn’t find anything. BUT one of the other OGX guy Sabi (VPOGX AIESEC in BU) might found something, though he was really not searching for anything! He was sitting under a tree around 3:30 am. After some time he heard a slight sound of “nupur” (small bells which Indian women used to wear on their ankle). The sound became louder and louder. It seemed someone is approaching towards him wearing “nupur” on her ankle. Sabi quickly watched his surroundings but there was no one! Sabi became too scared, it seemed the woman is very near to him, but he couldn’t see her! It was really a horrible moment of Sabi's entire life. Some of the people also heared a baby's mysterious cry at that night! Moin (VPICX AIESEC in IUB) faced another incident at that night. He was going to his room, and a dog followed him to the end! He also became too afraid. When we were talking about these scary issues at the second night, Shamnoon bhai told that, what will happen if now electricity went off? Just after 1 second electricity gone! It was too scary! And the final incident happened when our boss Fahim (MCVPOGX AIESEC Bangladesh) was going back to his home at the second night. His car was parked under that spooky banyan tree. When he entered his car the door lock automatically locked and unlocked for thrice! Not only that, when he started his car, the engine went off for several times. It was too frightening thing for Fahim, he really got scared at that time and thanked to God when he reached Dhaka. We talked about this issue with several staffs of that area. Some of them also believe that, that place is a haunted area. Some of them told us that there is also a strange bird in that area. BUT we really surprised when one of the staffs told us that, there is no Banyan tree there and he quickly left us! Banyan tree is one of the biggest tree of the world, so we are really not understanding the fact that, why he didn’t recognize such a big tree! AIESEC Bangladesh’s second president Akhter bhai also terribly died in that area. He sank in the big lake behind the banyan tree and died terribly! Though, he was a Gold Medal swimmer! I don’t know what really happened with these people, perhaps they are superstitious. I really don’t believe in ghosts but sometimes I think there is something at that place. It might be a haunted area! Though you might be get scared hearing the ghost story, we did lots of funs regarding it. Shamnoon bhai and Shourav bhai suggested that if anyone saw any ghost just shout “Hey AIESEC” as loud as possible. It was really fun.Daniel (MCVPICX AIESEC Bangladesh) really promoted my ideas when he was taking his sessions. The Learning Network session of him was a great session. Daniel gave an example of Sex Learning Initiative Group (IG). We really enjoyed it. At the quiz competition, I lost the championship. BUT I remain as a Golden Boy ;-) somehow Tauseef (VPPD AIESEC in BU) became the Platinum Boy ;-) I got 43 out of 50, Tauseef got 44 out of 50, and Naomi (LCP AIESEC in IUB) got 42 out of 50. Our LC Roll Call was “If I was a bachelor boy”, and we edited it as follows:
If I was an AIESECer, and I was to marry,
I would marry an AIESECer,
more than any body.
I would go to conference, she would go to conference,
we would go to conference together,
waking up in the middle of the night,
having X together.
In the morning, in the morning,
in the morning plenary, plenary!
In the morning, in the morning,
in the morning plenary. Finally, I just want to say, this was a real good conference. I enjoyed each and every parts of it. I can’t forget any moment of it even if I tried to. I’m really proud to be a part of it. God bless AIESEC Bangladesh.

Hmmm, I found the ghost story quite spooky. I'm glad I didn't go to npc.
